This Privacy Policy explains what information the Barbro app
("Barbro", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how we
handle it. By using Barbro you agree to the practices described below.
1. Data We Collect
To provide your account and the booking/queue experience, we may collect:
- Email address — obtained when you sign in with Google or request an Email OTP.
- Name — shown to barbers when you join a queue or book.
- Profile photo — optional, only if you choose to add one.
- Phone number — optional, to help a barber contact you.
- Location — used only for a one-time geofence check-in when you mark yourself as arrived at a shop. Your location is not stored or tracked.
- Contacts — when you use the contact picker, a single selection is read on-device only. Your contacts are never stored or synced.
- FCM device token — an anonymous push-notification token so we can send you queue and booking updates.
2. Why We Collect It
We use this data only to run the app:
- Account management — to create and secure your account.
- Booking and queue functionality — to place you in queues, manage bookings, and show your status.
- Push notifications — to alert you about your turn, booking changes, and other relevant updates.
3. Third-Party Services
Barbro relies on a small number of trusted providers:
- Supabase — our database and authentication backend, which stores your account and booking data.
- Firebase — used for push notifications and for crash reporting via Crashlytics, which helps us fix bugs.
- Google Sign-In — used if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active and is
deleted when you delete your account. Your FCM device token is
removed when you log out.
5. Your Rights
You can delete your account at any time from
Settings → Danger Zone. Deleting your account removes your
associated data as described above.
6. Children's Privacy
Barbro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has
provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest
version will always be available at this page, with the "Last updated"
date revised accordingly.
